Length Comparator: MTCT-14

The relatively small difference in central length between a reference gauge black of known central length and another gauge of unknown central length is measured by a high resolution length indicator the scope of this test is the determination of the effect of aggregates on the drying shrinkage of cement. The instrument consists of an analogue or digital dial gauge which is mounted on a steel frame. The top anvil is adjustable to suit the required specimen. A two gang shrinkage mould, 25x25x285 mm size (250mm gauge length), is made of steel. The mould and steel inserts should be ordered separately. Also available is a reference rod, 300mm long with convex hemispherical ends. The comparator is available in two models one with 0.01 mm x 10mm analogue dial gauge or with 0.001mm x 20 mm digital dial gauge.

The unit can be supplied with a .0001 inch x 1/2 inch dial gauge at extra cost if indicated at the time of placing the order
