- Comprising six cylinders of diameter about 16mm, with weight of each cylinder adjusted to 100g.
- Includes one cylinder each of copper, lead, brass, zinc, iron and aluminium.
- Cylinders vary in length from 5cm to 19cm to get the same mass and are drilled across cross-section near one end for suspension.
- Metal cylinders rest in the cylindrical recesses drilled in a wooden block. Metal identification stamped on each cylinder.
- Can also be used in specific gravity / density experiments to compare their relative densities.
